VERY IMPORTANT ---- PLEASE READ ---- VERY IMPORTANT

Every year for almost 17 years now, I have used this opportunity to wish my golden families a blessed holiday season. Thank you all so much for allowing me to be a part of your family. I get pictures from my grandpuppies almost every day and I love it.

Thanksgiving and Christmas is a time when we all tend to count our blessings a little more I think, and my golden dogs have been one of the biggest blessings of my life. They came into my life at a time when I had just lost my husband of over 32 years and I literally suddenly had no place that I felt like I belonged. They gave me a reason to get up in the morning and a reason to smile. Those first months after Philip died, there was not much reason in my life for smiles. Then, thru a friend, I was introduced to my first three Golden girls; Nattie, Kate and Fanci. They changed my life and took me places I never knew I was capable of going. It has been a fantastic journey. I have met some amazing dogs and some fantastic people on this journey and I will miss them all.

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of the Golden at Four Oaks Kennel. This was not what I wanted but circumstances have made it impossible to continue. This came up suddenly, about 2 weeks ago, and I have tried to figure out some way to be able to continue at a different address but at my age and with my mobility issues I just don’t think it is going to work out so am doing what I don't want to do. I am closing.

Please, if you have bought a pup from me in the last year, rest assured that your contract will be honored. I will stand behind my pups like I always have. My email will remain the same, but I will be moving away from the farm so I will eventually have a new address and phone number. I will close the website down in a few days but the Facebook page will stay up for the foreseeable future so you can communicate with each other and post those beautiful pictures of our babies. You can also always get in touch with me thru the Facebook page and my new address and phone will be posted as soon as i have it.

I do have a little bit of good news to go with this sad announcement. My granddaughter, Kelsie, has bought some of my younger females and our two young sires and she will be opening her own kennel. She has her first litter of pups from her own personal dog on the ground now, and I will post pictures of them on the Facebook page as well as her contact information, soon. She is getting her website up and also a Facebook page for her kennel. Since this came up so suddenly, she is playing a little catch up on that kind of stuff.

Some of you may remember her. She pretty much grew up here and many of you met her when she was living here and helping with the dogs. She graduated from high school and after a few months got married and went to work for my vet, Shannon Vet Service, where she remained till she had her own baby girl and decided to stay home with her. She and he husband Ronnie and daughter Tinley live in Madison county on their cattle and horse farm. Kelsie gives riding lessons and rides on a drill team so she is well versed in what it takes to take care of animals. Her personal dog, Ziva, came from Goldens at Four Oaks.

Her new kennel will carry all the same pedigrees as ours here. Our Copper is the sire of her first litter, she has now. It will be under a different name but bloodlines both human and canine will be the same. Pups should be very similar to those you have gotten from here for the past years. I will, as she put it, be on speed dial if she needs my take on anything about her dogs, but I expect her to do very well.
Her email is [email protected] and that will be the best way right now to get in touch with her until she gets her contact pages going. I think will be pretty quick. You can also call or email me to get in touch with her.

Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your lives. Please keep this Facebook page alive. I really love looking at and talking to all the wonderful family members that have come from my farm over the years.
